I forgot a lot of the plot and I don't want to do research but this is basically the movie, trust me.
Your name is about a girl who wishes to be an attractive boy from Tokyo, and a boy who wishes to be a girl from a small village. They both get their wish and swap lives with each other, but when they change back they can't remember what the other did in their body. They spend the entire movie trying to find each other but eventually a meteor hits the village that the girl, Mitsuha lives in and it destroys everything. The boy, Taki can't remember what she looks like but he tries to find answers and figures out that the meteor hit her village. He travels back in time and swaps bodies with her in hopes to save her village. He gets Mitsuha's friends to try and warn everyone abut the meteor and evacuate but no one listens. Miraculously, Mitsuha lives and years later she's trying to find a job in Tokyo. That's where they meet again.

Wolf children has a simple enough concept to let children able to enjoy but also for adults enjoy as well. The story is told by Yuki, narrating her childhood and how she was embarrassed to be half wolf. She wanted to fit in, her brother Ame on the other hand decided to fully become a wolf after his master died. When they ere young children, they had the opposite personalities. Yuki was outgoing and loved to be outdoors, Ame was quiet and didn't like doing physical activities and such. The main appeal to me was that the movie is about wolves, wolves are like my favorite animal ever and considering they're rare gives the movie this mysterious and charming feel to it. The only thing that's wrong with this movie is the zoophilia, it was a different time sure, but it aged like milk. Other than that this movie is breathtaking and astounding.

Totoro follows schoolgirl Satsuke and her younger sister, Mei, as they settle into an old country house with their father and wait for their mother to recover from an illness in an area hospital. As the sisters explore their new home, they encounter and befriend playful spirits in their house and the nearby forest, most notably the massive cuddly creature known as Totoro.

10-year-old Chihiro and her parents stumble upon a seemingly abandoned amusement park. After her mother and father are turned into giant pigs, Chihiro meets the mysterious Haku, who explains that the park is a resort for supernatural beings who need a break from their time spent in the earthly realm, and that she must work there to free herself and her parents.

the winners of the comparison
Spirited away and Your Name won.
I think that Spirited Away's plot is more entertaining than Totoro, but that doesn't mean it's a bad film. Spirited Away is just more enjoyable to me. And that's my opinion.
Your Name is more new than Wolf Children, and while I love the old style of animation and art style, I just can't choose Wolf Children over Your Name.
